ACTIVITIES OF WOMEN ROMA GROUP - KRAGUJEVAC

On 6-7 September, the activists of women Roma group "Novi put" from
Kragujevac, organized the seminar, educating 11 activists from 8 cities for
animation of Roma women to get out and vote. After that, they visited 65
Roma settlements in the following cities: Subotica, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad,
Kragujevac, Cacak, Nis, Vranje and Raska.
On that occasion, 15000 flyers were distributed. The message on the flyer,
on Serbian and Roma language, was "Dear Roma Women, the Life of Your Family
is in your Hands - Vote for Changes". Beside the flyers, 1000 lighters and
1000 pens with the message "Vote for Changes" were distributed.
In all these Roma settlements, public discussions were held and teams for
animation of Roma women were formed. In this way, 30000 Roma women were
covered by this campaign, in direct contacts.
TV presentation of the campaign in Kragujevac and press conference were also
organized.

ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMITTEE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS - NEGOTIN

Within the closing activities in the pre-election campaign, the Committee
for Human Rights from Negotin hosted the workshop "Open Conversation",
organized by Timok Network (part of Southeastern Network). Participants were
representatives of the regional offices of CESID and United Branches
Syndicate "Independence" from Zajecar, Negotin Youth Club, Committee for
Human Rights Negotin and around 50 citizens of Negotin. On that occasion,
the material with the slogans: EXIT 2000, VREME JE, GET OUT AND VOTE and THE
PENCIL OF LIFE, were distributed.
The activists of Negotin Youth Club and the volunteers of the Committee for
Human Rights Negotin continued the campaign "Door to Door".


ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMITTEE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS - KRUSEVAC

The Forum of Candidates, organized by the Committee for Human Rights -
Krusevac, was held 18 September in Krusevac. Around 50 citizens took part at
the Forum aiming at better understanding of candidates among their voters,
while the nominated candidates had the opportunity to present their program
to potential voters.
In addition, this action aimed at animation of voters to participate in the
elections on 24 September in the largest possible extent.
Until the Election Day, two more Forums are planned.
During the realization of the campaign "Everybody Go to the Elections!" the
Committee for Human Rights - Krusevac visited around 60 villages near
Krusevac and distributed lot of promotional material, animating thus voters
to participate in the elections in the largest possible extent.

FORCA CAMPAIGN CONTINUES - POZEGA

NGO Forca from Pozega organized on 20 September the closing ceremony of
announcing the winners of the open competition "Why do I vote?" within the
project "Pozega Votes". On that occasion, the newsletter with the first
three awarded articles was distributed.
On the same day, at the city main square, final basketball games under the
name "Pre-Election Olympics" were held.
On Saturday, the action "Citizen Cane Against Electoral Media Black-Out" is
planned in the local theatre.

ACTIVITIES OF "SEOSKI PRAG 98" (VILLAGE DOORSTEP) - SABAC

Within its campaign for animation of the youth to get out and vote, "Seoski
prag 98" will on 21 September distribute promotional material at the
traditional fair in the city of Sabac.
That same evening, at DOS (Democratic Opposition of Serbia) convention that
will be held at the main city square, the activists of "Seoski prag 98" will
distribute promotional material until midnight, when pre-election silence
starts.

ACTIVITIES OF CONSTRUCTIVE CIVIL ENGAGEMENT IN PARACIN

Panel discussion about active citizenship was held in Paracin, as a part of
"Skola za gradjanske vestine - School for civil skills" project on September
15th 2000. Guests of the panel discussion were Prof. Cedomir Cupic and Prof.
Ratko Bozovic. Some 60 person form Paracin attended this panel.

Members of CONSTRUCTIVE CIVIL ENGAGEMENT are visiting state schools in
Paracin and Cuprija, mobilizing teachers and professors to conform their
political vote to the interest of their profession. The name of the campaign
is " ZA NEIZLAZAK -NEOPRAVDANI!"

CONSTRUCTIVE CIVIL ENGAGEMENT is giving to Centers for Social Work in
Paracin and Cuprija one copy of the report of Research team CPA, on
strategies of households survival in Serbia 2000. Material represents an
addition to their expert estimations about the social and economic status of
citizens and invitation for the elections.

The purpose of MAGIC BEANS is sobering undecided voters in Jagodina.
Participants of "Skola za gradjanske vestine" project will distribute it,
along with the leaflet "Izlaz 2000 - Exit 2000".

CONSTRUCTIVE CIVIL ENGAGEMENT  has declared an ideal places in town for
making the electoral decision. Bakeries, markets, flea markets, Drugstores
and gas - stations are being declared as ZONES OF DECISIONS.

CONTINUATION OF THE CAMPAIGN IN NOVI PAZAR

A group of volunteers of NGO "Urban Inn" from Novi Pazar visited Prijepolje
yesterday on September 19th and distributed, in cooperation with NGO Demes,
T-shirts, paper bags, pencils and other promotional material as a part of
the campaign "Budi budan za buducnost" (Be awake for the future). The
purpose of the campaign is to mobilize the youth for participation at the
elections.

Material sent to Priboj by bus was taken away by the Priboj police.

As a part of women's campaign "Hajde Fato, hajde Kato. izadji na izbore i
glasaj za promene  - Come on Fata, Come on Kata.. get out and vote for
changes" (Fata is a Muslim, and Kata Serbian female name, which means that
they are addressing to both Muslim and Serbian women), women-volunteers from
"URBAN INN" and "DamaD - LadyD" have distributed promotional material, last
night on September 19th, to participants and visitors of a book promotion in
Novi Pazar's library "Dositej Obradovic".

For the next days following activities were announced:
1. In Tutin "talking workshop" for women and a party.
2. Same activities are scheduled in Sjenica on Thursday September 21 and
Priboj on Friday September 22.

CLOSING CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES OF THE WOMEN PEACE GROUP FROM PANCEVO

Cycle of the informative/psychology workshops which were conducted in the
villages of Pancevo municipality in organization of Women Peace Group
activists, and within the pro-electoral campaign "Budimo solidarne, budimo
prisutne" (Let's Be Solider, Let's Be Present), has been completed in
Ivanovo, September 20.

Closing workshop and the gathering of all the participants in animation
meetings held till the 20th, Women Peace Group plans to organize on
September 21 in 5 o'clock PM in Studio21. On that occasion, an exhibition of
all the products made in workshops as well as the photos will take place.
