BULGARIAN NOTE OF PROTEST FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO
THE BULGARIAN EMBASSY IN SKOPJE FOLLOWING BULGARIAN CULTURAL
ASSOCIATION MEETING

At the weekend two boys, one of them a minor, stoned the
Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje. The house was not damaged and
the two boys were arrested right afterwards. According to
the police report, the boys were drunk and charges will be
pressed against them. On the other hand, the boys maintain
that they stoned the embassy in a protest against the
formation of the Radko society.
Yesterday, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
extended a note of protest to the Macedonian Foreign
Ministry. The note of protest extended to the Macedonian
Ambassador to Bulgaria, Ljubisha Georgievski, states that
this incident along with the previous ones represents a
serious threat to the good neighborly relations between
Macedonia and Bulgaria. According to the Bulgarian deputy
minister for foreign affairs, Marin Rajkov, the stoning of
the Bulgarian Embassy represents a terrorist attack in
breach of the efforts of both the countries to nurture
friendly relations. The Macedonian ambassador, Ljubisha
Georgievski, underlined that all the incidents connected
with the Radko society are not an expression of the
official Macedonian policy.
