"STOEL  UNIVERSITY" CORNERSTONE TO BE LAID ON  11TH FEBRUARY

"On February 11 next year, the cornerstone of the new trilingual
private college in Macedonia will be laid", stated  PDPA-NDP
coordinator Zamir Dika after meeting  with OSCE Minority Commissioner
Max Van Der Stoel. This meeting was also attended by PDPA-NDP leader
Arben Dzaferi as well as the member of the international board for
foundation of the new private university and its future rector -
Aladdin Abazi. It was concluded that the university project ( the
university is located near Tetovo) is expected to be finished next
month , while the financial assets have already been provided by the
international community i.e. foreign donors such as  USA, Holland,
Switzerland, Norway and the Soros fund . The estimated cost of the
entire project is expected to reach  $22 million. As Dika pointed out,
there is a possibility of a merger between this university and the
Tetovo university in accordance with the regulatives of the new Law on
high education.
The Tetovo university celebrated its six- year anniversary on Saturday.
Thereat the PDPA-NDP leadership was asked to give up the idea of the
new trilingual college  since no political party has mandate to decide
on such sensational projects. As TV TELMA broadcasts, PDPA-NDP members
were present at the ceremony as well as representatives of Tirana,
Elbasan and Korcha universities, however  no Government representatives
nor diplomats attended the  ceremony.
